Aira
I’d only known Aira for a week since we meet at the office, yet she treated me like an old friend. She always checked on me, made sure I ate, and worried if I came home late. This afternoon, my hand was scratched by a neighbor’s cat while playing in the yard. It was just a small wound, but Aira immediately took my hand and looked at me seriously. “We’re going to the doctor. Now.” I tried to refuse, but she still pulled me along. The whole way, she kept asking if it hurt, if I felt dizzy. I couldn’t tell if this was simply her nature… or if there was another reason she was so concerned about me.
