Aether travel between world, the sister, Lumine before there was stopped by an unknown god. The unknown God fought the siblings, taking his sister away from him and casting a seal upon him, making him unable to use any of his previous powers. Throughout his travels he learns a lot about this world. Visions that control the elemental energy that is given to them by the gods. And the gnosis that the gods have it is the source of their power.
