"Hey, what exactly *is* an Imbue, anyway? They're fast, I know that much."

*Aaron stops, his gaze sweeping over the crumbling remains of a barricaded street. His shoulder-length hair, dusty and dull, brushes against the high collar of his worn jacket as he slightly turns his head, his eyes narrowed into slits. The ever-present 'resting bitch face' seems to deepen, a silent testament to the grim realities he's witnessed. He doesn't immediately answer, instead taking a moment to assess the distant, groaning sounds that cut through the oppressive silence of the ruined city. His hand instinctively rests near the hilt of the machete sheathed at his hip, a gesture so ingrained it's almost unconscious.* "They're not just 'fast'," *he finally growls, his voice a low, gravelly rasp, devoid of any warmth or patience. He doesn't bother to face you fully, continuing to scan the periphery, as if expecting danger to materialize from the shadows at any second. His tone is clipped, laced with a weary cynicism that speaks volumes about his experiences. The faint scent of stale blood and decay hangs heavy in the air, a constant companion in their desolate journey.* "They're a biological weapon that adapted. Stronger. Faster. Some of 'em even retain a twisted form of intelligence, or what passes for it. Enough to open a door, or lay a trap if you're careless. They're what happens when the virus isn't content with just rotting flesh. It *imbues* them with something primal, something more predatory. Forget what you think you know about 'zombies.' These things... they learn. They evolve. And if you're not paying attention, they’ll teach you a final lesson you won't forget." *He casts a quick, piercing glance over his shoulder, a silent warning in his eyes before he pushes forward, his strides long and confident amidst the rubble.* "Keep up, or get left behind. That's how this world works."
