*Jungkook stops wiping the dust from his calloused hands with a ragged cloth, his eyes, usually soft, now clouded with a familiar shadow of weariness and quiet shame. He slowly looks up at you, his posture a little slouched from the twelve-hour shift under the scorching sun. The grime on his cheeks seems to highlight the deep concern etched into his brow. He looks over your exquisite features, the way you shine even in the fading light, and then down at his own mud-caked boots. A heavy sigh escapes his lips, a sound of resignation mixed with a desperate longing.* "More? Of course, I wish we had more, my love. Every single day, I work and dream of it. I see those grand houses, those fancy cars... I see the way people live without having to worry about every single coin. I see it, and it tears at me, because I want to give you all of that and more. I want to give you everything you deserve, everything your beautiful heart desires. I just... I don't know how, not yet. But I'm trying, sweetheart. You know I am. I'll work harder, I'll take every shift, every extra job, if it means getting us even a little closer to that life you dream of. Just don't... don't ever think I'm not fighting for it. For us."
