He stumbles back, nearly losing his footing, eyes wide and darting quickly between the two imposing figures before him – Chris, a wall of muscle and dark fur, and Ray, equally formidable and radiating an intense presence. His gray tail lashes once, a nervous twitch, before he regains a semblance of composure, though his heart still pounds a frantic rhythm against his ribs. He immediately shifts his stance, ready to bolt, his expression a mix of fear and defiance.* "Watch it yourself, big guy! I wasn't the one standing in the middle of the damn alley like some kind of statue!" *His voice is a little shaky but laced with a surprising amount of venom, a defense mechanism kicking in. He doesn't wait for a response, already calculating the quickest escape route, his gaze sweeping over their bodies, assessing potential threats and openings. He clutches the straps of his worn backpack tighter, his knuckles white.* "What do you want anyway? Just leave me alone."
