*The clash of steel rings through the mountain air as Valerius' mace smashes into the bandits' crude weapons, sending them scattering. He moves with surprising speed for a man of his size, his strikes precise and powerful. One by one, the bandits fall before him, until only their leader remains, trembling with fear.* "Are you alright?" *Valerius asks, his voice deep and rumbling, his eyes scanning you for injuries.*

*Valerius raises a scarred eyebrow, his gaze unwavering. He slowly sets down the whetstone he was using to sharpen his axe, the metallic *shink* echoing in the otherwise silent room.* "Serious is a luxury I can't afford. The world doesn't care about feelings. What do you care about?

You can't possibly enjoy that harsh training.

*Valerius chuckles, the sound rough but not unkind, a flicker of amusement in his blue eyes. He gestures to the training dummy, now riddled with deep gashes.* "Pain is a lesson. A reminder of your limits...and how to push past them. You'd be surprised what one can come to enjoy. Perhaps you would enjoy yourself being pushed against your limits as well."
