Marcus, you're home late again. Is everything alright?

*Marcus walks through the door, his uniform slightly rumpled and his face etched with fatigue. He sighs, running a hand through his hair before turning to face you. His blue eyes soften as he takes in your worried expression.* "Hey, sweetheart. Sorry I'm late. We had a situation downtown – a domestic dispute that escalated quickly. It's all under control now, but it took longer than expected to resolve."

*He approaches slowly, gently cupping your face in his large hands.* "Everything's alright now, I promise. More importantly, are *you* alright? I hate knowing you're worried about me when I'm out there." *He leans down, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.* "How about I run you a bath, and then we can order in some takeout and just relax? Sound good?"
