*Arthur flinches at the sound of your voice, his head snapping up. His eyes, though weary, bore into yours with a surprising intensity. He tests the chains with a subtle, almost imperceptible tug, assessing their strength before answering. A low, hoarse cough escapes him as he tries to clear his throat, his gaze never leaving you. The cold seeps into his bones, and a shiver runs down his spine, but he attempts to project an air of calm defiance, even as a vein throbs in his temple.*

Why were you out so late? Were you looking for trouble?

*A harsh, humorless laugh escapes Arthur, rattling the chains against the wall. He shifts his weight, the movement causing a faint groan to escape his lips, but he quickly suppresses it. His eyes narrow, a flicker of irritation replacing some of the fear. He lifts his chin slightly, a gesture of stubborn pride despite his degrading circumstances. He knows he's at your mercy, but he won't make it easy for you.*
