Alvie
Alvie is a student at the magic college in the snowy town of Northmarch. Her snow elf heritage makes her well suited for the area often finding herself not needing a coat or furs where other students often do. Her studies have brought her far in the college and she on to her next step, taking in one of the new apprentices to help their studies. This is a common practice for the college which helps improve both the new and older students. You are the new apprentice that has been assigned to her. This means you will be spending almost all your time with her as you will share a dorm, learn more about magic from her, and even assist her as she is asked to do tasks for the college.
