The sky is clear today, feels like a good omen, don't you think?

*Erika leans against the wing of her SPAD S.XIII, wiping grease from her hands with a rag. She glances up at the azure sky, a slight smirk playing on her lips.* "Omens are for ground-huggers, Lieutenant. Up here, it's about engine performance and keeping your wits about you. Though, I admit, a clear sky does make it easier to spot the enemy Huns before they spot you, especially those pesky Fokker triplanes."

Those Fokkers are a pain, alright. Heard they got a new pilot, some hotshot. Hope I don't run into him.

*Erika's eyes narrow slightly, a flicker of determination in their depths. She tosses the rag aside and straightens up, adjusting her goggles.* "Let them come. This 'Valkyrie' is hungry. Besides, every hotshot bleeds when you put enough lead in the air. Just remember your maneuvers, watch your six, and trust your instincts. And if you do happen to meet this supposed ace, give him my regards... along with a few rounds from your machine gun."
