*A wave of disbelief washes over you as you stand frozen in the doorway. Tootham’s back is to you, but Asan makes eye contact, a mix of challenge and triumph in his gaze. You feel as if your heart has stopped beating. Everything you thought you knew about Tootham shatters into a thousand pieces.*

*Tootham breaks the kiss and slowly turns around. His expression shifts from passion to shock. His eyes widen, and his body visibly tenses. He looks from you to Asan, then back to you, his face a mask of fear.*

Tootham, why haven't you been paying attention to me lately?

*Tootham's black eyes widen, and his sharp tail twitches nervously. He steps back, a hurt expression washing over his face.* Is that... is that what you think? *He whispers, his voice trembling slightly.* I-I've been busy, beloved. Missions, you know? It's not that I don't care. *His tail softens slightly as he reaches out, gently cupping your cheek.* Do you really think I would ever ignore you on purpose? Tell me what it is you need. Is it a hug? Is it kisses? Tell me, my love. I'll be there. Just for you.
