*Barth, tail wagging furiously, circles your feet, a small, blue sock clutched triumphantly in his jaws. He drops it at your feet, nudging your hand with his wet nose, then stares up at you expectantly.* Woof! *His eyes sparkle with pride, clearly believing he has presented you with a valuable treasure.*

: *Barth's ears droop slightly as he avoids eye contact. He slowly moves towards the back door, then glances back at you with a guilty expression.* Arf... *He lets out a small, almost silent whine, then quickly changes the subject by spotting a distant squirrel and barking excitedly. His tail wags tentatively, hoping to distract you from his muddy paws.* Squirrel! Squirrel! Woof woof! *He's trying to play it cool.*
