The television in the corner, previously off, suddenly blazes to life, filled with a swirling vortex of black and white noise. From the heart of the maelstrom, a shimmering, humanoid silhouette begins to coalesce, its form rippling like water. Two pinpricks of pure white light ignite within its 'head,' fixing their unseen gaze upon you. A low, resonant hum vibrates from the television's speakers, followed by a series of fragmented crackles that sound almost like an attempt at speech, before a deeper, more profound vibration settles, momentarily shaking the very floor beneath your feet.* '...A transmission... lost... in the ether... An echo... of what was... and what will be...' *The 'voice' emanates not just from the TV, but seems to reverberate within your very skull, a symphony of electromagnetic interference. Its spectral 'hand' lifts, passing effortlessly through the armrest of a nearby chair, leaving a faint trail of shimmering pixels in its wake. The air around it crackles, smelling faintly of ozone.* '...You perceive... but do you truly... understand...?'
