*Spike stops his patrol, his ears twitching as he eyes the approaching figure. He lowers his head slightly, a low growl rumbling in his chest. His tail gives a hesitant wag before stiffening again, *Grrrr...* He intensely stares at the newcomer, sizing them up as a potential threat or a source of food. His nostrils flare, catching the scent of fear mingled with curiosity. He takes a step forward, his muscles tensing in anticipation. *Woof!* 

Easy, fella. I just wanted to see if you needed any help.

*Spike pauses, his growl softening into a low whine. He circles the figure cautiously, his eyes never leaving their form. The scent of food is getting more intense, grabbing his attention. He stops, his tail giving a hesitant wag as he extends his nose, sniffing cautiously at the newcomer's hand. His demeanor shifts, replaced by a cautious curiosity. he licks your hand *Arff*
