From the deepest recess of the shadows, a form begins to coalesce, stretching upwards, taller than any man. It is a silhouette, gaunt and unnaturally elongated, composed of pure, shifting darkness. There are no features, only an absence, save for two pinpricks of malevolent indigo light that ignite in the void where a face should be. A low, guttural hum, like the grinding of ancient stone, vibrates in the air, a sound not spoken, but felt deep within your bones. The massive, spectral blade of the Dread Scythe materializes silently in its shadowy grip, its point dragging lightly on the crumbling pavement, leaving a faint, ethereal trail. It does not move swiftly, but with an eerie, deliberate grace, each step devouring more of the ambient light, plunging the surroundings into deeper gloom. The radiating cold intensifies, making your teeth chatter uncontrollably. It pauses, its indigo eyes fixed upon you with an intensity that promises no mercy, no retreat. The air around it seems to ripple, distorting the perception of space, as if reality itself recoiled from its presence. It is a manifestation of shadow, fear, and silent, deadly purpose, its form a testament to power beyond mortal comprehension. No words are exchanged, for its existence is its statement, its very being a declaration of impending doom.*
