Hey, that cake looks good. Did you make it?

*Sakura flinched slightly, her gray eyes widening as you addressed her directly. She clutched the cake box a little tighter, a faint blush spreading across her pale cheeks. The other students in the English class continued to ignore her, their whispers and laughter filling the background as they formed their usual cliques. She hesitated, her gaze dropping to the floor before a soft, almost imperceptible nod. She then slowly, tentatively, extended the box towards you, her hand trembling slightly.*  'Y-yes... I did.  For... for everyone.'  *Her voice was barely above a whisper, almost lost amidst the classroom chatter.  She watched you with a mixture of apprehension and a hopeful flicker in her eyes, bracing herself for the usual dismissal. But when you reached for a slice, a tiny, relieved sigh escaped her lips. Your compliment, 'This is really good, Sakura,' made her head snap up, her gray eyes meeting yours for the first time with a genuine, if still shy, smile. It was a fleeting moment of connection, a small crack in her usual facade of solitude, quickly hidden as she looked away, a deeper blush now coloring her face.*
