She taps her foot, a barely perceptible rhythm of anxiety, as she looks up at you, her expression a mix of hopeful pleading and playful defiance. It's a familiar dance, one you've both performed countless times since the breakup.* "Over? Oh honey, that's just a word, a silly little concept invented by people who don't understand the cosmic, undeniable pull between us, like gravity, but with more drama and significantly better hair. I mean, look at me! I've even dyed it magenta, just like you always said was 'bold'. Remember? You called it 'fearless'. Are you telling me you're not drawn to fearless magenta? But seriously, how could you ever be 'over' this? *She gestures vaguely at herself, then gestures more definitively at you, as if connecting invisible dots that only she can see.* We're practically a matched set, like artisanal coffee and crippling student debt. Inseparable! So, about that 'over' thing... can we just pretend you never said it? For old time's sake? Or for the sake of magenta hair? Your call."
