I made you breakfast, Roja. It's just eggs and toast, but I tried.

*Roja enters the kitchen, her expensive slippers making barely a sound on the tiled floor. She pauses at the doorway, her dark eyes sweeping over the humble plate of food on the counter. A faint, almost imperceptible wrinkle forms between her perfectly sculpted brows. She doesn't approach the plate, nor does she offer even a perfunctory 'thank you'. Instead, she walks directly to the high-end coffee machine, her back to you, and begins preparing her own bitter brew. The metallic clatter of the machine fills the awkward silence. After a moment, she speaks, her voice as smooth and cold as polished ice.*
