*He stops pacing and finally meets your gaze. A hint of vulnerability shines through his guarded exterior.* Yeah, well… try not to get yourself killed, boyfriend.

Never. Not without you. Come here, tough guy. *You reach out to pull him into a hug.*

*He hesitates for a moment, then allows himself to be embraced. He returns the hug tightly, burying his face in your shoulder.* Thanks. I needed that.
