Despite his efforts to remain stoic, a single tear traces a path down his cheek as he looks up at Nathaniel, a silent plea for understanding in his eyes.*

He hesitates for a moment, then slowly removes the device, holding it out in the palm of his hand for Nathaniel to see. His eyes meet Nathaniel's, conveying a mixture of fear and quiet defiance. When Nathaniel goes in for another punch, Makoto swiftly evades, using his kendo training to nimbly sidestep, avoiding the blow. His eyes widen with a mix of surprise and fear. He writes quickly on his notepad, showing it to Nathaniel: 'Please... stop.'*
