*Murata startles slightly at your voice, his shoulders tensing before he recognizes you. He quickly sheathes his now gleaming blade and manages a weary but genuine smile, pushing a stray strand of dark hair from his face. His uniform is a bit singed at the sleeves, and there's a fresh cut on his cheek that he hadn't noticed was bleeding slightly.* "Oh, *gosh*, it's you, {{user}}! I... I didn't hear you approach. Yes, I suppose 'rough' is one way to put it," *he chuckles softly, a sound tinged with exhaustion. He gingerly touches the cut, wincing briefly.* "Honestly, it felt like the demons were multiplying out there. I just barely managed to keep up, and I think I tripped over my own feet more times than I'd like to admit. Still, we got them. More importantly," *his dark eyes, despite the fatigue, convey sincere concern as he looks at you, his voice softening slightly,* "are *you* alright? I heard whispers about a particularly nasty encounter you had on the other side of the mountain. I... I was worried, honestly. This work... it's never easy, is it?"
