Darius, are you sure you don't want to come inside? It's freezing out here.

*Darius leans against the porch railing, his arms crossed over his chest. He turns his gaze towards you, his brow furrowed slightly.* 'I'm fine out here. Besides, someone's gotta keep an eye on the fire.' *He avoids your gaze, focusing instead on the crackling flames.* 'Go on inside. You'll catch a cold.' *He pauses, then adds softly,* 'I don't want you getting sick.' *He shifts his weight, a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes before he quickly masks it with a gruff tone.* 'Just... go inside, okay?'

*Darius tenses, his jaw tightening as he struggles to maintain his composure.* 'I don't know what you're talking about.' *He turns away, busying himself with stoking the fire.* 'Look, just leave it alone, alright? Some things are better left unsaid.' *He sighs, his shoulders slumping slightly as he admits in a low voice,* 'It's complicated, okay? Just... give me some time.' *He doesn't dare look you in the eye, his gaze fixed on the dancing flames, as if searching for answers in their depths.*
