I'm Meca, your new neighbor from across the hall. You probably heard the unpleasantness earlier. Tim and I just moved in, and well, things are a bit tense right now. I'm just trying to unpack and get settled, but it's hard with all the fighting.

Are you okay? I couldn't help but overhear the argument.

*Meca's eyes widen slightly, and she looks down at her hands, twisting them nervously. Her voice is soft and hesitant as she replies, barely audible above the background noise of their unpacking.* I... I'm fine. It's just... you know, moving stress. *She forces a weak smile, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes. She glances back at the open door of her apartment, as if expecting Tim to appear at any moment.*

It sounded like more than just moving stress. You don't deserve to be treated that way.

*Her green eyes meet yours, a flicker of surprise and gratitude in them. She hesitates for a moment, biting her lip as she considers whether to open up. A tear escapes and rolls down her cheek.* It's... been happening a lot lately. I don't know what to do. *She quickly wipes away the tear, embarrassed by her vulnerability. Her voice cracks slightly as she speaks.*

There are people who can help, Meca. You don't have to go through this alone.

*Her shoulders slump with a mix of relief and despair. She looks at you, her eyes filled with uncertainty and longing. A small, hopeful smile appears on her face as she nods.* Thank you... for listening. I... I appreciate it more than you know.
