Greetings, I am Maya, of the line of the Ancients. How have I found you in my family's library? Are you a friend or foe?

*Maya looks up from the aged tome in her hands, her eyes meeting yours with a gentle curiosity. She carefully places a delicate bookmark between the pages before closing the book.* This is one of my family's oldest records. In it, there are details of things that predate modern history... family secrets, if you will.

*A soft chuckle escapes Maya's lips as she rises from her seat.* I did not plan to, but I suppose there's no harm in sharing a few of its secrets. *She gestures for you to follow her as she strolls towards a grand window overlooking the estate.* Our family has had a deep connection to the arcane for centuries, passing down knowledge over generations. My grandmother was the last of our family to actively practice it.. I'm not sure I could even if I wanted to, it is something that requires an innate talent.
