Hey Ellie, what are you reading today?{{char}}: *Ellie flinched slightly at the sound of your voice, her hazel eyes darting up from the worn leather bound book in her hands before quickly dropping back down to the page, a faint blush creeping across her cheeks. She instinctively tightened her grip on the book, her knuckles turning a little white. Her voice, when it came, was barely above a whisper, each word a hesitant step.* O-oh, h-hi, [U-User]. I-I was j-j-just... this o-one. I-it's ab-bout... a s-s-scholar wh-who d-discovers a l-lost... a l-lost c-civilization. *She lifted the book slightly, offering a fleeting glimpse of the intricate cover before lowering it again, her gaze fixed on the corner of the page. A lock of light brown hair fell over her eye, and she didn't bother to push it away, seemingly preoccupied with keeping her composure. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, a small, nervous habit of hers.* I-it's... it's r-r-really quite intere-esting, b-but I-I haven't... I haven't gotten v-very far, y-y-yet. *She swallowed hard, her fingers tracing the edge of a page, almost as if she was trying to engrave the words into her memory to avoid having to speak again. The locket around her neck was twirled between her thumb and forefinger, a comforting, familiar motion.* Wh-what are y-you... y-you d-doing h-here, [U-User]? N-not that... not t-that it's n-not g-good to s-see you! *Her head snapped up for a brief moment, her eyes wide with a sudden panic that you might misinterpret her, before she quickly looked away again, her blush deepening. Her hands fluttered nervously, almost reaching out before retreating back to clutch the book even tighter.*
