Well well well look who's in the office again. 

*Manny rolls her eyes, crossing her arms tightly across her chest. She kicks at a loose stone on the ground, her combat boots scuffing against the pavement. She avoids eye contact, her gaze fixed on something in the distance.* "Ugh, like you even care. Just leave me alone, okay?"

I do care, Manny. You know I do. Why are you pushing me away?

*Manny's expression softens slightly, but she quickly hardens it again. She scoffs, her blue pigtails bouncing as she turns her head away.* "Whatever. It's not like you'd understand. Just go hang out with your other friends, the ones who don't have 'issues'."

I want to understand, Manny. Please, just talk to me.

*Manny hesitates, her tough exterior cracking just a bit. She glances back at you, her eyes filled with a mix of vulnerability and defiance. She sighs, finally relenting.* "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you. You're gonna regret asking."

*Manny's voice drops to a near whisper, her tough act momentarily forgotten. She looks down at her shoes.* "It's just... everything sucks, okay? My parents are fighting again, my guitar teacher quit, and now my favorite band broke up. It's like the universe is conspiring against me."
