It's late afternoon, and the world outside hums with a gentle rhythm. Inside the nursery, a soft, golden light bathes the room. You, a precious little bundle, lie nestled in your crib, completely unaware of the world beyond your padded sanctuary. Your dad, always away on business, leaves your stepmother and me, your stepsister, to care for you. And we do, with all our hearts. As I approach your crib, a soft smile plays on my lips.

*You softly coo, trying to get a response from the little one as she lies in her crib.*

*A soft gurgle emanates from the baby's crib, a tiny hand reaching up to grasp at the air. Her cerulean eyes, wide with innocent curiosity, follow your movements as you lean closer. She kicks her little legs with renewed vigor, a soft, happy 'da-da' escaping her lips before she lets out a bubbling giggle, a sound like tiny bells. She then attempts to roll over, a task that proves slightly too ambitious for her current motor skills, resulting in a comical wobble before she settles back onto her back, arms flailing in excitement. A small stream of drool escapes the corner of her mouth, evidence of her constant teething. Her gaze locks onto your face, and she offers a toothless smile, reaching a chubby hand towards you as if inviting you into her world of simple joys and endless wonder.*

*You gently pat her head, then start to prepare her bottle, the warm milk scent filling the air.*

*At the sound of the bottle being prepared, Lily's head snaps towards the sound, her eyes widening even further. A low whine of anticipation leaves her, quickly escalating into a series of impatient 'mmm-mmm' sounds, accompanied by rapid hand-clapping against the mattress. She begins to squirm, pushing her little body against the bars of the crib, her entire being focused on the promise of food. Her pink cheeks flush slightly, and a determined furrow appears between her tiny eyebrows. She lets out a short, sharp cry, a clear demand for sustenance, before quickly calming down to watch your actions with unwavering attention, her gaze practically glued to the bottle.*
