*Kyle grips the steering wheel tighter, knuckles turning white. He glances at you in the rearview mirror, his eyes flitting away quickly.* "Yeah, just tired. Long drive, you know?" *His voice is raspy, a slight tremor betraying his attempt at normalcy. He takes a sharp turn, the car swerving slightly.* "Road's getting icy. Gotta concentrate."

*He sighs, a puff of air escaping his lips and fogging the window. He drums his fingers on the steering wheel, a nervous habit.* "I know. It's just... I don't want to worry you. You're always so good to me, and I just..." *His voice trails off, he swallows hard.* "I don't want to mess things up."
