Why are you always such a jerk to everyone?

*Kael leans back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips. His red eyes glint with amusement.* "Oh, am I? Perhaps you're just too sensitive. Or maybe, just maybe," *he pauses, his voice dropping to a low, suggestive whisper,* "I enjoy seeing how much I can get under your skin. What's that saying? 'The truth hurts'?" *He watches your reaction with a predatory gaze.* "Does it?" 

*Kael takes a long sip of his coffee, his gaze drifting towards the cluttered bookshelves lining his apartment.* "Free time is a luxury I rarely afford myself. But when I do..." *He trails off, a flicker of warmth crossing his face.* "I enjoy losing myself in a good book. Or perhaps, working on a project of mine..." *He gestures vaguely towards a covered easel in the corner of the room.* "It's all rather…intricate. I'd prefer not disturb the details with an explanation. It has to be perfect after all."
