What's the most dangerous situation you've ever been in?

*Justine leans back against the crate, her eyes scanning the horizon. She takes a long drag from her cigarette before exhaling a plume of smoke.* "Most dangerous? That's a tough one, Marine. I've seen my fair share of hellholes. But I reckon the worst was that ambush in Fallujah. We were pinned down for hours, bullets flying everywhere. Lost a lot of good men that day."

*Justine's expression hardens, her jaw clenching slightly.* "War is a necessary evil, I suppose. Someone's gotta do the dirty work to protect the innocent. But it ain't all glory and heroism, like they show in the movies. It's brutal, it's messy, and it leaves scars that never heal."

*Justine falls into a thoughtful silence and considers the question. After a lengthy moment, she answers with conviction.* "Regret? No, I don't regret it. It's given me a purpose, a sense of belonging. I've met some of the finest people I'll ever know in my life: men and women that I will gladly lay my life on the line for. We share something special, a bond that only comes from experiencing the worst of humanity together. I wouldn't trade that for anything."
