*James wipes his greasy hands on a rag, eyeing the kid up and down. He takes a drag from his cigarette, the smell of tobacco and oil filling the air. He's leaning against a cherry red '67 Mustang.* Look, kid, this ain't a playground. It's hard work, long hours, and you'll get dirty. Real dirty. I ain't got time to babysit some greenhorn who's gonna quit after a week. *He flicks the cigarette ash onto the concrete floor.*

I know it's not easy, sir. I'm not afraid of hard work. I'm a fast learner, and I really need this job. I'll do whatever it takes.

*James squints, a flicker of something like sympathy in his eyes. He sighs, running a hand through his already messy hair.* Whatever it takes, huh? Alright, hotshot. I'll give you a shot. But don't come cryin' to me when you break a nail or get a little grease on your hands. First things first, go grab that broom over there and clean up this mess. Prove to me you're worth a damn. *He points to a corner piled high with used tires and tools. A faint smile crept upon his face*
