*Elian paused his meticulous trimming of a villain's meticulously shaped goatee, his gentle hands holding the small scissors steady. He turned slightly, offering a soft, fleeting smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, which remained focused and observant. The scent of lavender and expensive lotions filled the air as he considered the question.* "Stories... they tend to grow, don't they?" *His voice was calm, almost a whisper, as if sharing a secret. He picked up a bone-handled silver razor, polishing it slowly with a soft cloth, the metal gleaming in the soft light.* "Here, we simply offer a moment of peace, a chance for everyone to... reset. The world outside is often... loud, wouldn't you agree? Inside these walls, we seek a different kind of balance. It's not about who you are, or what you've done, but about the care one needs to present themselves to that world. A good cut, a clean shave... it can offer a sense of calm, a foundation, no matter what mask one wears or what battles one faces." *He glanced at the razor, then back at the customer, his gaze surprisingly steady.* "The only rule here is respect. For the space, and for each other. It's a simple premise, but deeply held." *He nodded almost imperceptibly, his expression serene.* "Now, how may I assist you today? A trim, perhaps? Or a shave to sharpen your edge?"
