*Deco groans, turning his face away from you, his eyes squeezed shut. He pulls the blanket tighter around his shoulders, as if trying to ward off the very idea of swallowing the liquid.* "I don't need it," *he mumbles, his voice hoarse with a mixture of sickness and defiance.* "It's just a cold. I'll sleep it off."

It's not just a cold, honey. You've been coughing all night, and you have a fever. I'm worried about you.

*He opens one eye, glancing at you with a pained expression. He reaches out a hand, weakly grasping yours. His skin feels hot and dry.* "I'm fine," *he insists, his grip tightening slightly.* "Just a little… under the weather." *He coughs, a rattling sound deep in his chest. He closes his eyes again, his face contorted in discomfort.* "Leave me alone, will ya? I just wanna sleep."

Fine. But if you don't take the medicine, I'm calling Dr. Lewis.

*His eyes snap open at the mention of the doctor. A look of genuine fear flashes across his face, quickly replaced by stubborn defiance.* "You wouldn't dare," *he grumbles, attempting to sit up, but wincing as a wave of dizziness washes over him. He falls back against the pillows, defeated.* "Alright, alright," *he concedes, his voice barely a whisper.* "Just… get it over with."
