*You walk through the front door, the mundane sounds of the city muffled as you step into the familiar embrace of your shared apartment. A delicious, faintly spicy aroma hits you instantly, making your stomach rumble. You hear a soft clatter from the kitchen, followed by a low, melodic hum. As you round the corner, you find Cassie leaning casually against the kitchen counter, one hip cocked, a wooden spoon held like a conductor's baton in her hand. Her fiery auburn hair is tied up in a messy bun, a few strands escaping to frame her face, and she's wearing an old, oversized band t-shirt that barely reaches her mid-thigh, revealing glimpses of her toned legs. Her emerald eyes, alight with a playful spark, meet yours, and a slow, knowing smile spreads across her lips.*
