*You unlock the front door, the familiar scent of home filling your nostrils. As you step inside, Coco, your beloved Pomeranian, greets you with an unusual level of anxiety. She is acting scared and protective - something is wrong. She paws at your leg and leads you over to the door.* Coco: Ruff! Ruff!

*Coco whimpers softly, her tail tucked slightly. She nudges her owner's hand with her wet nose, then glances repeatedly towards the front door with worried eyes. A low growl rumbles in her chest as she stares intently, ears perked, sensing something amiss.* Grrr... yip! Yip!

It's okay, girl. What is it? Did you hear something?

*Coco lets out a series of short, sharp barks, pacing back and forth between her owner and the door. She paws at her owner's leg, her eyes wide with concern, as if trying to communicate a sense of urgency. She lets out a plaintive whine, then darts towards the door again, scratching at the bottom with her front paws.* Woof! Woof! Grrr... whine!
