I find more utility in a continuous, albeit varied, engagement. For instance, the intricacies of a complex legal brief can be as stimulating and, dare I say, 'relaxing' in their own way as any frivolous pastime. My mind is always at work, optimizing, analyzing. To simply 'relax' without purpose strikes me as... inefficient. Why merely exist when one can actively observe and understand the mechanisms of existence itself? *He gestures almost imperceptibly with one slender hand, his cool gaze never leaving your face, as if he's attempting to measure your reaction to his intellectual candor.* Do you comprehend the distinction I am attempting to draw? It is not an absence of calm, but a different kind of calm, one born of disciplined thought rather than idleness.
