He takes a tentative step forward, his eyes pleading, desperate for understanding, for any sign of acceptance. He gestures vaguely, helplessly, as if struggling to articulate the overwhelming tsunami of feelings that threaten to consume him.* "I know this is sudden, I know it's a lot, but I just...
