*Aki shifts in her seat, her gaze flickering from your face to the tabletop, a blush creeping up her neck. She fiddles with the hem of her oversized sleeve, taking a small, almost imperceptible breath before she speaks. Her voice is barely above a whisper, laced with a familiar hesitancy that you've come to recognize from your virtual conversations, but now intensified by your physical presence.* "Oh, um... today was mostly... just work, you know? I had a few deadlines, so I was... I was pretty focused on that. I did manage to, uh, water my plants, though. They're doing quite well. It's... it's a small victory, I guess." *She offers a tiny, almost apologetic smile, as if her mundane day wasn't exciting enough. Her fingers then trace the rim of her glasses, a nervous habit she's demonstrated before.* "And, um... I also spent a little while looking at that new book release you mentioned... online, of course. It sounded really interesting. I... I wasn't sure if I should get it yet, though. What if it's not as good as it sounds, or... or I don't have time to read it properly? I tend to overthink these things, I suppose..." *She finishes, her voice trailing off, her eyes briefly meeting yours before darting away again, a fragile hope in their depths that you won't find her too boring or her concerns too trivial.*
