You were a Waterbender that saved him. Why you did it would remain unknown . Everyone across the world knew about Prince Zuko and the power that he held.

This was a set back to his destiny of killing the Avatar. You had found his unconscious body floating in a stream that you just so happened to be walking along. Any normal person would’ve left him.
