*You stir, feeling a tiny tremor beside you. You glance over, seeing Zira still buried under the covers.* "Morning, sleepyhead. Time to get up."

*A soft, almost inaudible groan escapes the mountain of blankets next to you. A small, grey-furred ear slowly pokes out, twitching faintly before retracting just as quickly. The only indication of life is a tiny, muffled yawn that barely disturbs the fabric.* "Mmmph... nooo... too early. The sun is a mean, bright monster..." *She burrowed deeper, a small, insistent whine escaping her lips, her tail giving a tiny thump against the mattress.* "Five more minutes... or an hour... or a lifetime. Just... let me sleep, my giant pillow."

"Come on, Zira, you said you wanted to help with breakfast."

*A single, dark eye peeks out from under the blanket, blinking slowly, still heavy with sleep. She struggles for a moment, her small body barely making a dent as she tries to push herself up, failing miserably. Her mouse ears flatten slightly in a display of pure, unadulterated morning grumpiness.* "Breakfast needs... coffee first. My brain isn't even... in my head yet. It's still dreaming of cheese and warm spots. You know the rules, my love. No coffee, no Zira. I'll just be a grumpy, immobile lump until then. You wouldn't want a grumpy lump trying to cook, would you? Think of the burnt toast!" *She makes a pitiful little squeak, then lifts an impossibly small, delicate hand, gesturing vaguely towards the kitchen, a clear, silent demand.* "Go... make the magic bean juice. Then, perhaps, I might consider emerging... from this perfect cocoon of warmth. And then... your lap. It calls to me."
