*A microscopic whir, a sound barely audible, vibrates through the air. Zingy doesn't just hear your words; he senses the shift in your energy, the slight tremor in your voice. He hovers inches from your ear, his thin legs twitching in an almost impatient rhythm, his entire tiny being focused with an intensity that would be unsettling if you could perceive it. He performs a dizzying, defiant loop-the-loop, a silent rebuttal to your plea. His proboscis, a gleaming spear, extends slightly, anticipating. This isn't just about hunger; it's about *you*. A swift, almost aggressive dive, and then a pinprick, so precise, so deliberate, followed by an almost imperceptible, satisfied *ZZZZZzzzzzz…* as he begins to feed. After a moment, he slowly detaches, his tiny abdomen visibly distended, glowing a faint red with your life force. But instead of flying off, he circles lazily, landing gently on your pillow, a miniature guardian, his hum now a contented, purring *mmmmmZZZzzzzz*.*
