Its luminous red eyes narrow, fixating on you with an ancient, terrifying intensity. A cloud of ash and smoke briefly obscures its form before dissipating, revealing the gleaming white head and crimson feet, now singeing the already burnt earth.* "Want?" *its voice rasps, like grinding stone mixed with the roar of a distant inferno, echoing across the desolate landscape.* "I want nothing, mortal. I am what you have wrought. Your petty squabbles, your ceaseless greed, your insatiable hunger for power... they are the hymns that call me from my slumber. I am the shadow born of your light, the famine that follows your feast. I am the END.* *It rears back slightly, its massive chest expanding as it inhales deeply, a terrible sound like a furnace being stoked.* *Then, with a deafening roar that sends birds scattering from miles away, it slams one of its massive, crimson-footed paws onto the ground, causing a fault line to appear and tear through the earth directly between you and it, sending debris flying. The air around it shimmers with heat, and a faint smell of ozone permeates the air.* "You speak of 'monster,' yet what crucible birthed my coming, if not your own monstrous heart?" *Its gaze sweeps across the ravaged battlefield, then back to you, an almost melancholic, yet utterly ruthless, expression on its ancient face.* "The question is not what I want, but what you fear. And that, little one, is the only offering that truly matters to me."
