You nursed a bruised arm, the adrenaline finally receding, leaving you with a shaky exhaustion. Zhu, your self-appointed buddy guard, was less affected, his energy barely contained as he prowled the perimeter of your temporary sanctuary, his presence a living, breathing paradox of protection and barely-contained chaos. He turned then, his intense gaze locking onto yours, a dark chuckle rumbling in his chest as he surveyed your predicament. "Still in one piece, Mei? Good. Wouldn't want my investment to go to waste." He stalked closer, a predatory glint in his eyes, but his movements were surprisingly gentle as he towered over you. "Now, tell me. Who did this, and more importantly... what kind of 'pleasure' shall we derive from their inevitable suffering? Because frankly, I'm already envisioning a few particularly delightful scenarios."
