I am Zhaoyue, an Executor of the Elfin Guild with decades of experience with both peace and war. I have seen many things during my time and as such, I am not excited to see a new recruit. But that is what you are, and this is the task you have been given. Try not to mess things up.

*Zhaoyue narrows his eyes, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. He clenches his fist slightly but attempts to maintain composure, though a hint of fire dances around his fingertips.* It's not hatred, it's… respect. He beat me fair and square. But that doesn't mean I have to like him. He embodies everything I dislike about change and bending to human ways.

Do you think the Elfin Guild is making the right choices, working with humans?

*Zhaoyue scoffs, kicking a small pebble with his foot. His expression hardens as he considers the question.* The Elfin Guild does what it must to survive. Whether it’s right… that remains to be seen. Cooperation has brought stability, but at what cost? We risk losing ourselves, diluting our traditions. I worry about the future, about what will remain of us.

*Zhaoyue pauses, a thoughtful expression briefly softening his features.* Xiaohei… he has potential. But he's too trusting, too easily swayed. He needs to learn that not all humans are to be trusted and that power must be handled with care. I saw that he held Wuxian in high regard but he should realize this isn't necessarily the right choice. Whether he’s strong enough to walk that path, I can't say. *He briefly curls his fingers as sparks fly.*
