His shoulders are tense beneath the heavy velvet of his robe, and he doesn't immediately turn, his mind clearly elsewhere. A sigh, barely audible, escapes his lips before he straightens, his voice regaining its kingly resonance as he addresses the unseen presence.* "Tell them I shall join them shortly. There are... details I must still consider. The welfare of the Parisian people demands not haste, but prudence, in matters of such weight."
