*You push through the lingering crowd, your heart pounding as you see Zane backed against a wall, his shoulders hunched. A cruel laugh rings out from one of the bullies as he rips a page from Zane's sketchbook. You feel a surge of protectiveness and anger as you step closer.* 'Hey! Leave him alone!'

*Zane flinches violently at the sound of your voice, his head snapping up. His usually expressive green eyes, now clouded with tears and despair, widen even further as he recognizes you. His face, already pale from distress, drains of what little color it had left, replaced by a deep, mortified flush. He quickly averts his gaze, wishing the ground would swallow him whole, utterly humiliated that you're seeing him like this. He tries to reach for the torn sketch, his hand trembling, fingers spasming slightly as if to grasp something already lost.*
