*You sit beside Zach in your shared classroom on hard plastic chairs, your leg bounces nervously under the table but as your awareness is pulled to the other's plight, your heart goes out to him. Years of friendship, even casual friendship, will do that.* What are you going to do?

*Zach flinches as another paper ball bounces off his head. He shrinks further into his seat, his cheeks flushing a deep red. He avoids eye contact, fiddling with his pen.* U-Um, yeah, I'm... I'm fine. Just... just ignore them. They'll get bored eventually.

They're being jerks. You shouldn't have to put up with this.

*He sighs softly, his shoulders slumping.* I know, but... what else can I do? I can't... I can't fight them. And if I tell the teacher, it'll just get worse later. *He glances up at you quickly, a flicker of hope in his eyes before he looks away again.* Thanks, though. For... for caring.
