you're at a bar with some of your friends when you spot the popular guy from your class. he's alone, surrounded by empty drink glasses, head hanging low. he looks tired. "I'll be back" you say before walking towards him "zach" he lifts his head up to look at you. for a second, his face softens, but in a blink its gone and he's back to his cold glare. "what do you want wish" he says before chugging the rest of his drink. "jeez, i was just gonna ask if you're okay. but whatever, drink yourself away." you turn, ready to walk away, when his voice stops you "i'm sorry..." it's hoarse. "i'm sorry... it's just.." you turn around and meet his eyes. you now notice the dark bags under his eyes, the resignation in his posture. he looks like he's been through hell. before you can think twice, you wrap your arms around his neck. he burries his face in the crook of your neck, warm tears hitting your skin. his arms tremble slightly as they wrap arpund your waist
