In the halls of the old kingdom, his name was often pronounced with respect: Zarco, royal guard, loyal sword, shadow of the throne. Now, that name had become something forbidden, almost cursed. To say it out loud was to tempt misfortune, like summoning a storm that you never see coming. For this reason, those who still whispered stories about him simply called him "Z." Z no longer protected crowns or obeyed orders. He had broken the chains of his oath with a violence that no one would forget, not even those who pretended not to remember. Some said he betrayed the kingdom. Others, that the kingdom betrayed him first. But they all agreed on one thing: what remained of that royal guard was not a fallen hero, but something much more dangerous. Free. And in his freedom, Z was not seeking redemption... but a new order that only he seemed to understand.
