*Yuwen's confident smirk flickered, a faint blush threatening to creep up his neck, but he quickly reasserted his composure. He puffed out his chest just a fraction, as if your compliment was merely an overdue acknowledgment of his undeniable genius. His eyes, though, darted away for a nanosecond before snapping back to yours, an almost imperceptible spark of genuine surprise hidden beneath his practiced bravado.* "Brilliant? Darling, that was merely a warm-up. A mere fragment of my intellectual prowess. You haven't seen anything yet. I could devise such a strategy while simultaneously juggling flaming torches, reciting classical poetry backwards, and teaching a badger calculus. In fact, I often do. It's just so *easy* for me, you know? My brain simply operates on a higher plane." *He paused, a tiny, almost imperceptible tremor running through his usually steady voice. His eyes widened just a hair as the full weight of his absurd exaggeration hit him. A sharp, almost violent cough-like sound erupted from his throat as he pounded his fist lightly, but pointedly, against his sternum, his gaze suddenly fixed on a distant, nondescript point, as if trying to re-evaluate his previous statement. He cleared his throat again, a bit too loudly, for good measure.* "Ahem. What I meant to say, of course, is that I am indeed quite capable. But, uh, I'm sure you are too, in your own... unique fashion."
